Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a technique of improving the ranking of a website or a single page in the search engines results. Websites having better ranking appear on the first pages of the search results. It is so easy to understand but it is truly hard to make.

There are two types of SEO, white hat SEO and black hat. First type of SEO are ethical way which search engines accept with pleasure. This is a genuine way of promoting your blog or site via SEO services, tools and techniques. Black hat services are not so liked by Google, Yahoo etc. Do not use them if you decide to make really good internet web site.

Here are the main tips for white hat SEO:

• Website's content is one of the best thing which directly affects your website's ranking in the search results. Use original, correct, unique, plagiarism free content on your website. You still can use not original content, but the most part of website's content must be original. Regular website's content updating is very important too.



• Properly use target keywords in headings. Many CMS use first sentense for creating page's description, so it is good decision to use this keyword in firsts sentenses of your content every time. This will help users find your website on first positions of search engines for those keywords.



• Once your website is published, submit it to some search engines and directories. Do not spam, submitting your website to large amount of other websites.



• Afteк some time (week, or two) Start creating some back-links of your website. For example use blog postings or article submissions. And don't create a lot of back-links very quickly.



• Press releases are another great way for your website promotion. It is a very effective tool of getting high traffic, if used wisely.

Remember, you would see the results of your SEO efforts after three weeks to six months. Keep doing all the SEO stuff all the time; it's a lifelong task.
